The next point on the map of the Expedition was Nerchinsk town. This town is located on the left bank of the Nercha river. It was founded in 1653 by A. Pashkov, the military leader and he called Nerchinsk fort. In 1689 there was signed an agreement with China. In XIX-XX centuries Nerchinsk was the place of political exile.
The way from Chita to Nerchinsk is 235 kilometers, and 100 of them are along the earth-road. That is why the Expedition arrived right in time for the meeting in the town square where many people came despite the fact that the population in Nerchinsk is only 14 thousand people.
The Mayor of the town greeted the members of the Expedition. He thanked Christians for the good cause they do.
