Bike trip – August 16 – Yerofey Pavlovich town
Today the clock waked us up at 5:30 a.m.  Our next day began with the command: «Wake up!». It was sunny outside, bur rather cool in the morning. We wanted to stay in our sleeping bags for a while. At 6:00 a.m. Christian sisters Natasha, Kate and Marina prepared breakfast for us. Mashed potato Rollton, sandwiches, tasty tea and sweets were on the table. Not long but hard way expected us – 110 km to the town called Yerofey Pavlovich.

We began to get ready for the trip. We put on our sport suites, saddled our bikes and started at 7:00 a.m. Before we arrived at the federal highway we moved along a country earth road, which was very even. We were ready to exchange federal highway for such a forest road. After 4 km along forest road we again found ourselves moving along the gravel road with ditches. Again we had to climb the hills with the speed 9-13 km/h and short descends with the maximum speed of 45 km/h. It is not possible to go downward quickly as we had to be careful because of stones. Bikers have pains in arms, fingers and legs. Bikers are the first, then KAMAZ and others go. Oncoming cars bring with them clouds of dust. We have to stop them in order to breathe free. Vladimir Skovpen does it, raising hid left hand. KAMAZ driver moving to the left side of the road forces drivers to low their speed. Most of cars stop, but there are those who are indifferent to such requests.

We stopped after 40 km of wheeling. We had a short snack, rest and had some blueberries. 30 minutes after we resumed our trip. When we saw the road sigh 70 km we stopped as that was the point where Siberia was over and the Far East region and Amur region began. We took several photos  by the monument, which marks this point and decided to have lunch – sandwiches, canned fish, biscuits and some other food, which God gave us that day. We stayed there for about an hour and resumed our trip. Heat began – bright sun and dust of the roads accompanied our team till the end of the day trip.

At the entrance of the town we were met by Christian men who went forward to discuss an opportunity of evangelization with the local Administration. Local authorities allowed us to present our program at the central sport complex. They showed us the place where we could take a shower. We arrived at Yerofey Pavlovich at 17:00 p.m. and went to the public sauna. After that we went to the meeting with people. We put our music equipment, switched on the music and people began to fill in the stadium. At 19:00 there were about 200 people there. Kate and Marina had a lot of work that day. Over 70 kids came to play games, to watch the puppet play and listen to the story about wonderful God’s salvation. The Lord blessed all people who came together that evening.

We stayed at night in the caravan church, kindly provided to us by local Pentecostal believers, who also prepared dinner for us. We went to sleep at 0:00. Before sleep we had an opportunity to swim in the local Urka River. Hard way expected us next day.

P.S. There are lots of mosquitoes there. So all our actions are made in a quick tempo and are accompanied by specific gestures, which resemble dancing.
