Bike trip – September 2 – Vladivostok
The last day of the Expedition. Usual wake-up and the last portion of our way – 110 km. The distance is not large, but the road is busy. Drivers in Vladivostok are not accurate in driving and often do not observe traffic rules.

We arrived an hour later to the town and waited for the escorting cars for about an hour. They did not arrive. We prayed and entrusted ourselves and our lives into the hands of the Lord and were not wrong. While we were waiting for the road inspection cars two well-equipped local bikers arrived, who were sportsmen, on professional bikes. We looked like beginners in comparison with them. They were preparing for the competitions. We told them about our goals and they moved forward. When we wheeled several kilometers along the town streets we met them again. One was standing, the second was raising all in bruises and wounds. We saw a car, which hit them. But our Guide, the Lord Himself, kept us and we safely arrived to the Central ECB church house in Vladivostok.

Sunday morning service was already over, but Christian sisters, who prepared lunch for us, waited us, as well as church ministers. We were short in time as the meeting in the central town square was fixed for 17:00 p.m. Churches of other denominations provided us with additional sound equipment, and we had good sounding and it was possible to hear us from a distance. We had permission from the town authorities for a one-hour meeting and we were able to tell people about Christ during 60 minutes.

After an official part of the meeting we went to the central beach accompanied by the road inspection cars. We arrived at the place where it was planned to pour the water from the Atlantic Ocean into the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

It so happened that for the second time our bike Expedition prevented one man to be baptized. It is our biker and a doctor – Levon from Krasnodar. Last year he was with us at the bike expedition «Bryansk-Omsk». Exactly at that time there was held baptism in his church. This year he again missed the time of baptism in his church. Brother Nikolay I. Sobolev, Pastor of his church asked us to find an opportunity to baptize brother Levon. And the moment came when after symbolic pouring the water from the Atlantic Ocean into the Pacific Ocean, we baptized Levon there. He was baptized on the same day as people in Krasnodar church! It was already evening in Vladivostok and it was morning in Krasnodar and the baptism service was in full swing exactly the same time!

After that we went to the second church in Vladivostok - «Good News», where we prayed for the new member of Krasnodar church and had the Lord’s Supper. We began our Expedition with the Lord’s Supper in Germany, remembering the sufferings of our Lord. We finished the Expedition the same way in Vladivostok. We could not do in another way as by the sufferings of Christ and His shared Blood we have been redeemed from our former life.

The Transcontinental bike Expedition «Gospel to the nations of the Word» finished blessed by God, thanks to His grace. During nearly 4 months we covered 14711 kilometers on bikes, had 130 services, mostly open-air meetings. Dozens of thousands of people heard the News about Christ. We prepared about 100,000 copies of the NT for the Expedition, and booklets about Christ. But this number was not enough. And during last, four stage of the Expedition, we borrowed books from the churches and gave them out to God. Praise God, people need the Gospel. The thirst for the Word of God was more extensive than we expected.

All churches, which we visited, became active in evangelistic ministry. Praise God that new people came to the churches. Here is only one example – there is a small group of 11 Christians in Trans-Baikal area. Its number grew twice after our evangelization. Next Sunday after the Expedition 14 new people came to the church. This is not the only one example. Now our task is to pray that churches will accept new people and work with them, that new leaders and ministers grow among them.
